It takes from 3 - 6 hours to execute a FULL body painting on an individual body.

For LIVE body art (done on-site, at an event), Derrick has a 2 hour minimum.

Derrick paints on skin with FDA approved face and body makeup which can be worn for 4 - 6 hours. Water-based body makeup washes off with soap and water.  If you require water-proof body art, Derrick uses DURA makeup (also FDA approved) which must be removed from the skin with alcohol.  Derrick does NOT recommend DURA for FULL body art, but rather for "tattooed" looks. Derrick also offers Liquid Latex for water-proof body art.

The models in the body painting gallery of this site are wearing only g-strings and paint so if you are offended by the human body, please navigate away. The female models Derrick paints also wear latex nipple covers which blend perfectly with the skin while masking the areola.

As you will see in Derrick's gallery of work, Derrick's painted subjects do not appear nude because Derrick often paints a base coat on the skin using  a "Sponge and Brush" technique, for FULL coverage, after which he may or may not accent, shade and detail the design(s) with his Airbrush.
